| Childrens' Hospitals are also a good place to build up your experience (but usually no pay)

It might not be as easy for you, but the first restaurant I called and talked with the manager, he told me to come in for an "interview" (which I told him I'd show him a few tricks). I started performing that night at $65 an hour + tips.

P.S. - Dress appropriately! Suit and tie works wonders!
