I highly reccommend the book by Mark Wilson. My billiard ball routine (in LarryBee's videos) is copied verbatim from that book.
You really can't go wrong with the Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic!

| the card college collection is good beacuse it starts of with the basics like double lifts and fanning the cards then it progresses to more advance magic like one handed shuffle.

Sorry to deviate from the topic, as Mr.Narmis asked a review about 'Revolutionary coin magic' 'm voicing my opinion.
'Revolutionary coin magic'
If you can stand Mr.Sankeys nonsensical behaviour, you can get it. In this DVD he just got on my nerves.Magic is more than secrets for me, Life is a great teacher. One should stay in the ethical aura particularly when one is enacting the role of a teacher. The language he uses, I can only say disgusting. Best Wishes.

Well depending on where you live, I hear a lot of magicians from France talk about Bernard Billis as being a very good resource for begginers and pros alike. So if you are in France or in Europe in general, I would look into that guy.
Wherever you are however, the people who are best positioned to inform you on what is available and what is interesting, will be your local magic shop. I hope this has been helpful.

You will soon learn he is a big rip off. Just like penguinmagic. Sure hes a good teacher but....
Also check here for other magic shops that other magicians use that aren't a rip off:

Are you crazy...... Gaffs are not the way... they are to be used sparingly(mp) at the right moment in a routine.
Hopefully after you get the trust from your spectators first .so they won't ask to check out your cards and what not.
Learn the basics first and everything else will follow.
Mark Wilson book
and go on up from there. It take dedication and time....The world wasn't created in one day.
You cannot be a magician over night no matter what the ad says
Good luck

| Royal Road and Card Table are to technical and not fun to read. I have read all the posts and the only book I would recomend if your starting out is "The Magic Book" by Harry Lorayne It teaches you everything thing you need to know. If you never read another book you could become a working professional by learning everything in this book. Harry Lorayne is the best teacher and I would recommend any of his early books.
