I would consider the shuttle pass to be as close to the double lift or top change with coins as possible.  When I think about the purpose of a double lift, to show two cards as one without saying so, this reminds me of the shuttle pass as the shuttle pass is a way of showing two coins as one with the hands otherwise empty.

As a corrollary, I would also liken a continuous coins to pocket routine (wherein a single coin is openly placed in the pocket and the same coin is immediately produced at the fingertips over and over) to an ambitious card sequence. The aforementioned  moves would be used in each of the respective effects with the best economy of motion.

Godhand,

Glad to have your imput in the forums, I agree with what you said above. The shuttle pass is much like the double lift in the words you used.

I wonder if this could be added? Is the shuttle pass an extention or cousin  so to speak to the false transfer? Meaning this I do false transfer of a coin or (object) to do a "vanish" . The displayed coin really doesn't go into the receiving hand.  That would be the "method" to  accomplish the vanish

Wouldn't the shuttle pass do the same thing? Although you would get added conviction on the  transfer because you display the coin in the other hand. Would't that be the same "method"? First displayed coin didn't get transfered.

maybe I'm talking out my (edit) just some random thoughts I had.

Actually, I'd say the downs palm give the hand the most natural look. At least when the back of the hand faces the audience. It's not as practical or useful as the classic palm, and I don't use it nearly as much as I do the classic palm but I will still say it looks more natural. Just because of the absense of the semi-awkward hand shape that the classic palm requires.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #b4b4b4"Anyway, that's my two cents. By the way my name is connor and i'm new here. Infact, this is my first post. Just thought i'd say hi.

Well, on the technical side, the official DL of coin magic is the Purse Palm lol. THat is the closest to a DL that you can get with a coin. I use the one hand switch all the time though. The Ramsey subtlety is my solution if you count it.
