Like the stuff on Post it notes? If so, it's called Repositionable adhesive, in a spray can. 3M used to make it. Or you could try spray mount also by 3M. You can get it in photo shops and stationers as it's used for mounting pictures etc.
Try 3M's website http://www.3m.com/us/mfg_industrial/adhesives/

Hmm guess it all depends on what your constructing. Ammar has some nice wax that is good and tacky with skin if you mess with it a few minutes. Velcro has already been suggested and can be a good idea. They also have these "mini" suction cups, I use this with one of my reels when I do card or credit card vanishes. Can find those at pretty much any office supply or Wal-Marts near you. Other ideas is double stick tape but that doesn't last more than a few tries. Perhaps depending on your build you may want to consider magnets. I've used magnets with one of Copperfield's old tricks on close up among other things.
Well good luck with the gimmick. Am sure others may have a library of information of ideas here.
Best regards,
Fantasia

| Rubber Cement can be applied to two things and stick later when they touch. Be careful though, its really poisonous.
