I use sponge balls fairly extensively and I have never built them myself. I'm sure it is a valid way of saving money, but if time is money, then it will cost you more to build them than it will to buy them. Gosh magic supplies is THE reference in my [uneducated] opinion. For the rabbits and odd shapes, look for the ball to cube, the miracle rabbit and the growing ball at your local magic shop.
Unfortunately I don't have much advice on your actual question, but if you are aware of the major principle used to do the "ball to cube" effect, and you are a good sculptor, you shouldnt have any problems in changing a sponge ball into anything you want.. Cheers and I hope you keep working on your skills with the sponge balls.

Thank you very much, everyone.
Nobody answered my question completely, but that's ok I guess. Sponge ball to someting else is not the only trick out there. So, I'll just start with simple two ball routines (I'll cut the balls out myself for now).
Thanks agian,
Alex

And the point of your post was to give a useless opinion on a dead topic?

| Hi Zusulik, I think Aramis hit the nail on the head, it would be far cheaper and easier to buy the sponge balls . rabbits, shapes e,t,c, rather than make them; from what I can recall,,,,,, I beleive goshman makes the best you can get and, in a range of different styles, cube to ball, ball to rabbit, just normal sponge balls of different sizes. also I think Michael Amar has a good sponge routine worth looking over, hopethat helps some, regards.
