Hi everyone!
I was thikning about this for a while now, and decided to share the idea with you to see if I'm reinventing the wheel...
A spectator selects a card. The deck is handed to another spec to shuffle. While he/she is doing that the first spectator is asked to take his jaket off, the magician shows that it is an ordinary jaket, pointing out that there is nothing on the inside of the tale (back area), especially. The first spectator puts on his jaket. The magicina takes the shuffled deck from the second spec. Then magicina asks the first spectator to turn around, back fasing the magician. At which point the conjuror throws the deck straight at the spectator's back (gently of course). The cards fall down randomly. "Did you feel anything strange?" - "No" - "Take off your jaket". And the selected card appears to be stuck to the inside tail part of the jaket.
So, kind of like CTW but with no windows, and hence no cutting edge technology (or shuttered glass), and a completely different method.
So, should I keep working on this, or such effect already exists?
Thanks,
Alex

| Sounds like pretty cool effect, have you actually come up with some handling for this to work? if so, you should upload a video so we can see it.

Could you possibly, just possibly manipulate the card to the top, then slip it into some sort of pocket in the jacket?
Just a thought

It's a very neat idea indeed! I have done similar things and have a lot of possible methods what could make this possible but a card what stucks in the jacket's tail...hmmm...I think you could improve that part a bit...
A concept of mine I have done before:
-Spectator who wears a shirt including breast pocket takes his jacket, get it on and closes it...
-He selects a card and shuffles this back into the deck...
-Magician takes the deck and does some of those long distance flourish riffles and then he 'loses control' and riffles the card againt the spectator 'in an accident'...
-Then the magician is watching for the spectator's card but he can't find it anywhere onto the ground and he doesn't trust the spectator and thinks he did took his card out of the deck...
-He asks the spectator to open his jacket and points at his breast pocket and then says: "I knew it!"...
-The spectator takes a look and indeed finds his card in his breast pocket...
Hope you like it!

Thanks guys... so as I understand my version (without using pokets and very clean) did not appear anywhere. So, I will work on it and upload it sometime soon.
And yes I already have a thought or two about the gimmick that helps to achieve this effect.
Any more hthoughts are welcome!

| Hmm, I could see it done vary easily unsigned, but signed, that would be amazing.

It's pretty easy. You ask your spectator to shuffle the deck after you loosed the signed card in the deck and with a little bit of misdirection you get the card where you want. If you have like three specs you simply take the one next to you so you are on his side and are allowed to do loads of secret sleights...

Zus,,
I would have the card appear on the spectators back with the face of the card on the spectators shirt. This way he could face away from the audience and drop his jacket revealing the card with you standing to one side helping in the removal of his jacket.
I worked out a comedy routine using a gaffed knife inwhich the card appeared skewered on the knife after back stabing the spectator, hence the name of the trick "back stabbed".
Consider the most important factor, whatever you use do not attach the card in any means that will leave residue or damage the garments, ie: the jacket or shirt. in my case blood stains...lol
Char!
