Dear fellow MVD-ers,
I am currently constructing a grand-scale illusion called the Girl in the Audience. As you probably already know it is where the magician's assistant travels to the audience in a split second. The illusion plans are from the book Tarbell on Magic volume 7. Here is the full description of the effect:

The magician and his assistant come on stage and display two large empty frames (26" by 36") hinged together. They place the frames upright on the stage with the hinge at a 90 degree angle, the apex towards the audience. Then, they show a solid triangle top and place it on the top of the frames to make a makeshift platform. The magician helps his assistant onto the platform and covers her with a large cloth. He then kisses the lady's hand, whisks the cloth away and she's completely gone. Immediately he points to the audience and his assistant is in the audience.

I plan to do this for my school talent show in a few months and with luck I will have it filmed and put on my account here (which by the way is Samweiss). So please subscribe if you would like to eventually see my illusion!

Thanks and tell me what you think!

Sam Weiss

Dry runs first.  Always do dry runs.  Otherwise...invest in a mask.  For those of you that do not understand that last comment...tough--he did.

Haha.... I get what you're saying tapmagoo =} ..... Believe me if there's one person who knows how much to practice it would be me. I practice so much on my magic whenever I can.

Once I finish building I'll take pictures and post them here.;)

Bad news everyone... the talent show that was supposed to be tomorrow was cancelled this year because of testing... It will definitely be on next year though so be patient...

Thanks
Sam
