Okay, since this is a live performance, I will be critiquing you based
on just that. ACR, it's a good standard for street and
walk-around, good choice. The card handling was nice. At some points
it was kind of hard to see what was going on, but I can guess the
methods that you were using. Overall in the magic department
everything is good.
Now on to the performance in general. Looking from the
camera's view, I can see that you were focusing most of your
magic towards one person. In a live crowd, a good performer should not
let that happen. ACR is an open routine for all to enjoy. So, try
spreading the magic all around. Try not to leave anyone out, like that
girl to "your" right. I bet she barely has a good view of
what is going on. And to eleviate that problem is to back up some,
that way everyone has a clear view of what you are doing, and at the
same time you may attract more spectators to your small crowd. It
seems like this may be your 3rd or 4th time performing live in an open
environment. The more you go out and perform, the more you will learn
about your surroundings.
Well, it seems like you practice regularly, your magic looks fine.
Just work on your performance now. A good book for you to look into is
Maximum Entertainment, it's one of many great book on enhancing
performance.

Best wishes,
TJ

Hopefully this generates a lot of hits, there's some great stuff
here, but seeing as you have a lot of similar elements to the ACR that
I perform for spectators, maybe I'm biased :)

Here is what I really liked about your ACR:

1) Some cancelling methods in that you follow up a tilt by genuinely
showing the card in the center.

2) After the second insertion you spread the cards to show it going
into the center. This action is what really cancels the previous
method. I also love that you have the spectator push the card into
the deck instead of doing it yourself.

I'm a bit undecided on the order which you choose to do the
rises. I play around with the pop-up move, but you can see for
yourself that the strongest reaction you got from this routine was the
phase that ends with the spectator cutting off the top half of the
deck while you place their(?) card, they then stick the top back on
and take the deck from you. This is exactly where my ACR ends (the
one I posted on MVD includes the pop up move, but when I perform this
for lay audiences I end on an in the hands phase).

I'm not saying that you should also end there, in fact I'm
undecided myself. But, from the reactions you get on this tape, the
in their hands phase is the strongest, as one would theorize.

Overall, kudos to you on this and especially for posting live
performances. Keep it coming.
